Scarva PF 695 Red Grogged Stoneware

Suitable for potters seeking a high fired red clay. The texture makes it excellent for sculpting or hand building and even large thrown pieces without the fear of slumping. Can also be used as a red raku body. With outstanding plasticity and the right amount of tooth, it is resistant to warping, cracking and thermal shock. At 1100-1180°C the firing yields a brick red colour. Increasing the temperature to 1220-1260°C darkens the colour to a rich reddish brown. Suitable for throwing, modelling and hand building. Texture: Coarse 10 Colour: Brick red - reddish brown. Firing Range: 1080-1260°C
