Scarva NAK010 Cornflower Blue Crackle Glaze 500ml

These glazes create a glossy, opaque finish with a fine crackle. Sizing and spacing of the crackle can vary slightly, depending on which stoneware clay body is used.

Apply 3-4 coats with adequate drying time between each application. To further intensify the crackle we would suggest leaving the fired piece for at least 48 hours to allow the crackle effect to develop. To highlight the effect you can rub Indian ink or acrylic paint into the crackle and wipe off the excess.

For best results fire between 1260-1300°C or Orton Cones 8 –10 with a 20 minute soak.
