Quartz (silica), 5kg

Introduces silica to glazes.  Can be used instead of flint in glazes, but not an exact replacement in clay bodies. Powdered quartz is used in glazes and clay bodies to give strength. There should be sufficient fluxes to prevent conversion to cristobalite during firing. Hazardous if inhaled.
