Description
Popular clay with a distinctive rustic character. Kiln batts must be well coated with batt wash to prevent sticking. Contains basalt, and the basalt fleck size is variable from batch to batch due to the characteristics of the raw materials.
Suitable for domestic ware and especially good for throwing. Also suitable for handbuilding.
Texture: Medium 4-5
Colour: Light buff, dappled brown
Firing Range: 1200-1270°C
