Description
1-3% gives dull browns, greens or greys. Usually used to modify other colours such as creating a moss green with chromium, a red violet with manganese in a soda glaze or a light violet in a lead or high potash glaze. In high zinc stoneware glazes, it can produce yellow in oxidation or blue when reduced.
