Mudtools Polymer Rib Blue # 3

Whether you are throwing clay on the wheel, hand building or sculpting, the pottery rib is a classic and essential tool. It acts as an extension of the potters hand to create shapes and surfaces that fingers alone cannot achieve.
Mudtool ribs are made from a flexible material. Unlike rubber, this material will not develop burrs or cracks. These ribs will burnish with use so become nicer over time.
Very soft (RED): Great for compressing slabs, burnishing rims, chamois, and hand building.
Soft Flex (YELLOW): Perfect for smoothing, burnishing, porcelain, throwing, and hand building.
Medium Flex (GREEN): Great for compressing bottoms, burnishing, trim marks, throwing, and hand building.
Firm Flex (BLUE): Still Flexible but Stiffer. Great for high burnish and throwing large work.
