Mayco Jungle Gems CG-788 Dutch Enamelware 473ml

Drama and excitement! They call it ART IN A JAR for good reason. These beautiful glazes transform in the kiln when small pieces of glass frit burst into colour to form patterns during the firing process.  Fire at 999°C - or go higher for different results. Use alone for stunning effects - or combine with the other glazes in the Mayco range - e.g. Cobblestones, Stroke & Coat, Foundations.  Review individual jar labels for cone 6 results. Layer with other Jungle Gems or Crystalites for even more fascinating combinations.

To apply - shake the jar well and apply 3 coats, allowing each one to dry before next application. Avoid placing the crystals at the bottom of the ware, especially if firing to higher temperatures. Recommended to use a soft fan brush for even placement of the crystals. Use a complementary Foundations glaze in order to make your crystals go further.

Note - the crystals will melt when fired, which may create a textured surface. As that surface may be difficult to properly clean if in contact with food, we recommend crystal glazes be used on decorative ware only. Non-toxic.
