We also offer training sessions to educational establishments for multiple staff members.

We collect and re-use all packaging as much as possible. Occasionally we purchase new packaging products to ensure that orders are despatched and received in the best possible condition. We ensure that any new packaging is environmentally friendly and sustainable, and can be recycled. Packaging supplies are reviewed continuously, and we endeavour to recycle as much as possible.

Certainly! Our glazes are categorized based on stoneware or earthenware firing temperatures. Explore our selection, and each product description provides details on the recommended specific firing range.

We currently don’t offer regular classes however check our events page for information on pottery classes and workshops hosted by local studios. Also keep an eye out for pop up classes that we host here at Corby Kilns throughout the year.

Kiln size depends on the size, shape and quantity of your making. Our team can assist you in determining the right kiln size based on your specific needs. We also offer a kiln firing service if you’re not quite ready to invest. See this in our services page.

While glazes are formulated to work well on most clays at the recommended firing temperatures, testing is recommended to ensure compatibility and desired results. Bear in mind that the colour of the clay body may impact the colour of the glaze, particularly those that are less opaque.
To prevent drying and cracking, store leftover clay in a sealed plastic bag or airtight container. Adding a damp sponge can help maintain moisture.

Always wear appropriate PPE as per the manufacturer’s guidance, such as gloves and a mask, when handling raw materials. It is recommended to wet clean areas to absorb the dust and avoid open food and drink . Ensure proper ventilation in your workspace and follow guidelines for safe kiln operation.
